Warning for people travelling betyween Gold Coast and Brisbane City and to Brisbane Airport.
From 26 March through to 17 April the M1 Motorway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast will be one of the key routes for athletes and officials travelling from the Commonwealth Games Villiage to competition venues in Brisbane and for spectatotors attending events between the cities, as well as business as usual commuting.
At the same time, coinciding with the Games events Queensland schools wiill be having term holidays and the first weekend in April will coincide with the Easter holiday break.
The speed limit on the M1 Motorway will be reduced by 10klm PH.
Byron Easy Bus normally operates 5 return services on the M1 every day, we have been advised by Queensland Main Roads to expect unspecified delays..
Accordingly we provide a warning to our clients wishing to meet outgoing flights at the Brisbane Airport, or if travelling from Brisbane South to the Gold Coast Airport, to allow extra times for these services in case of delay.
