Gold Coast Airport

Gold Coast Airport is located on the Gold Coast Highway at Bilinga on the southern end of the Gold Coast, only five minutes from Coolangatta and forty five minutes south to Byron Bay. The airport is located in the state of Queensland, so you travel interstate to Byron Bay.

 Meeting point

Our meeting place for Jetstar, Tiger and Virgin blue passengers is the Zoom Cafe inside the terminal near the Jetstar and  Virgin Blue baggage collection area; for International arrivals, the meeting point is adjacent to the Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle desk at the Northern end of Terminal 1.

Daylight Saving

The Gold Coast Airport and Gold Coast region operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST). Daylight saving is observed in New South Wales where Byron Bay is situated, from the first weekend in October  to the first weekend in April. There is a one hour time change when crossing the state line.

 This means for the one hour trip the clock times will show zero time travelling north and  two hour travelling south. So please check your flight times during these months, remembering that Queensland time will be one hour before New South Wales time.
