Please ensure you have allowed sufficient time to check-in when you get to the airport. We recommend you allow one hour for domestic services and two hours for international flights.

Brisbane International Airport Information

Check In Information

Check-in is located on Level 4 of the International terminal for all airlines. The check-in is generally open 3 hours before your flight time. Please make sure you allow extra time for the current security measure in place.

Once you check, proceed though to the Immigration and Security screening, this will take at least 20 mins. Aircraft boarding is approximately 40 minutes prior to the departure time. We recommend to get to the airport at least 2 hours prior to your departure time.

There is Duty Free and retail stores located on level and bars, shops and cafes on Level 4 prior to screening, so you can enjoy some time with anyone that does not hold a boarding pass.

Airline Safety

The following items cannot be taken on board aircraft:
Any sharp implement, lighter fluid, gas cartridges and refills, acid, mercury, paint, firearms (including toy guns) , ammunition, knives, explosives, other weapons. Please contact your airline if you have any addition queries on airline safety.

Security Screening

All passengers must go through the security screening, this will involve all carry on luggage going through and X-Ray scanner. Any sharp items such as corkscrews, knives, knitting needles etc will need to travel with your check in luggage. Be aware that if any prohibited items are found, they will be confiscated.
